Aston Villa have made a formal approach for Manchester United goalkeeper target Senne Lammens, according to reports - with the Villans becoming the latest side to manouevre a deal at the frantic end of the transfer window.
The Villans have been relatively quiet by their own standards this summer, though the last few hours have seen them spring into life. Former United defender Victor Lindelof is reportedly set to join the club despite advances from Fiorentina and Everton, adding depth to Unai Emery's backline - but they aren't done there, with a move for Belgian star Lammens in the pipeline.
The report by Fabrizio Romano states that Villa have made a formal approach to Belgium Pro League side Royal Antwerp for Lammens' signature in what could be a crazy transfer carousel in the final 24 hours of the window.
The 'phenomenal' star is the Villans' main option alongside Porto goalkeeper Diogo Costa, according to the GIVEMESPORT transfer correspondent, incase Emiliano Martinez leaves the club after being linked with a move away throughout the window.
And with Manchester United now thought to be in talks with Villa over the signing of Martinez, Villa are thinking of signing Lammens.
