Alexander Isak and Liverpool have been the main topic of conversation throughout the summer transfer window.
The Sweden international has been the Reds’ dream target for as long as many can remember, and even though we’re into the last couple of days of the transfer window now, moves could still be made.
At the moment, Liverpool only have four senior attacking options among their ranks and, while Rio Ngumoha may have pulled off some heroics against Newcastle last week, he can’t be regularly relied upon.

This makes it clear that the Anfield outfit must sign a new attacker before the window slams shut, and, since Isak is the only player on Arne Slot’s mind, it surely has to be him.
Dietmar Hamann believes Alexander Isak will join Liverpool this summer
It’s clear that both Liverpool and Isak want him to join the Anfield outfit this summer.
The striker would not only provide Slot with another option for his number nine, but it would also allow for players such as Hugo Ekitike and Cody Gakpo to have some well-earned rest.
And, while speaking to Sky Sports Germany, former Liverpool player Dietmar Hamann believes that the 25-year-old will be a Liverpool player before the Premier League season gets fully underway.
“Nick Woltemade is a good player, but 60 million euros was already too much for me,” he said.

“Now they’re paying 90. The prices are very inflated, which is certainly also related to the fact that Liverpool want Alexander Isak – and will probably get him.
“The German clubs would be well advised not to participate in this madness, because this transfer fee is completely unfounded.”
Alexander Isak could be key to Liverpool winning the Champions League
Not only would Isak provide Liverpool with some extra attacking talent, but he would also improve their chances of winning the Premier League and Champions League tenfold.
One of the main things that Liverpool were missing last season was that extra bit of fight needed to get a goal or two when it mattered most.
Indeed, players such as Federico Chiesa were available, but since the Italian’s confidence was non-existent, he failed to have much of an impact.
However, seeing as though Isak scored 27 goals across all competitions last term, it’s clear that he’d bring that extra bit of firepower needed to make the difference.

Only time will tell if he can reach those same sorts of heights this term, but with players such as Florian Wirtz and Mohamed Salah around to supply him, it’s hard to see how he won’t be even better this time around.
That is, if he ends up making the move to Liverpool, of course.
