The transfer window at Manchester United is expected to get frantic as it inches towards closure, and one loan move has been sealed for a player.
Man Utd’s business is far from done in the transfer window despite spending more than £200m on three attacking additions.
They need to balance that out with some sales, a train that has been kick-started by Alejandro Garnacho and Rasmus Hojlund.
In the absence of European competitions and elimination from the Carabao Cup, they also need to find loans for developing young players. One player has got his.

Ethan Williams seals loan move
Ethan Williams returned to Man Utd this summer on the back of a successful loan at Cheltenham last season.
He travelled with the squad to the USA, making a mark by scoring his first goal for the club, albeit in a friendly.
However, the attacking positions were greatly reinforced this season, so the chances of him getting any games for the first team were always remote.
The natural next step was another loan, and that has happened, with Williams moving on loan to Falkirk on a season-long loan.

Falkirk play in the Scottish Premiership, so it’s a jump up from the fourth division of English football Williams played in last season.
Falkirk manager John McGlynn sounded really excited at having secured Williams’ services for a season.
Speaking to Falkirk’s official website, he said: “We’re absolutely delighted to bring Ethan Williams to Falkirk. He’s a young player of real quality who has been developed in one of the best academies in the world at Manchester United, and he now has the chance to take the next step in his career with us. Ethan is quick, direct, and has an eye for goal, qualities that we feel will add a different dimension to our attacking play and excite the supporters.
“We’re looking forward to working with Ethan now. This is a great environment for him to learn, develop, and show his ability, and we believe Falkirk is the perfect place for him to take his game to the next level.”
Man Utd trust Ethan Williams
Even though the doors to a first-team berth were shut for Williams this season, the club clearly trust Williams’ potential in the long term.
This is evidenced by the fact that he secured a new contract at Old Trafford before moving on loan.
His new contract runs till 2028, with the option of extending it by another year, effectively making it a four-year deal.
That way, Williams has earned plenty of time to prove himself capable of making it at Man Utd, a just reward for his perseverance and form.
He is expected to make his debut for Falkirk against St Mirren on September 13, with the club confirming that he hasn’t been registered in time to make his debut immediately.
