Jarrod Bowen bounced back perfectly for West Ham United in their huge 3-0 victory against Nottingham Forest on Sunday afternoon.

Bowen exploded at West Ham fans after the Carabao Cup defeat against Wolves in midweek, but opened the scoring at the City Ground with a low finish from distance.

Lucas Paqueta sent a clear transfer message with his celebration after the second, and Callum Wilson then scored his first goal for West Ham to seal all three points against Nottingham Forest.

It was another moment from Wilson that put him in the bad books, though.

Bowen looked set to make it 4-0 at the City Ground, sensationally dribbling past several Nottingham Forest defenders before being clean through with Mats Sels.

Just as he was about to shoot, though, Wilson took it off his foot and smashed it straight at the Belgian goalkeeper to win a late corner.

Speaking live on Sky Sports Premier League on 31 August, Seb Hutchinson could not believe what he was watching on commentary.

“It’s outrageous,” he simply said.

Matt Upson couldn’t help but immediately agree, adding: “It is.”

Bowen agreed and was spotted shouting at his teammate despite the clear lead.

Jarrod Bowen sends sensational West Ham message

After a shocking start to the season with heavy defeats to Sunderland and Chelsea, West Ham needed their captain to stand up again.

He didn’t just do that, but he dragged his side to three points with the help of some other big names, Paqueta and Crysensio Summerville, the others.

Sunderland 0-3 West Ham

West Ham 1-5 Chelsea

Wolves 3-2 West Ham

Nottingham Forest 0-3 West Ham

Time and time again, Bowen has been thrown infront of the media to talk about defeats and poor performances, and it was about time he was helped.

With the first win now finally secured this season, Graham Potter will be desperate for that to continue as he looks to bat away West Ham sack fears at the London Stadium.
