Emiliano Martinez has been left out of the Aston Villa squad to face Crystal Palace amid interest from Manchester United.

There is a possibility of United winger Jadon Sancho being included as part of the deal.

United and Villa also both have interest in Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens.

Sancho is being floated in the talks as the two clubs try to find a solution on valuations.

United have also made an improved offer for Lammens.

Martinez has been heavily linked with a move away from Villa throughout the transfer window.

Bringing in a goalkeeper is a key priority for United given the struggles that Andre Onana and Altay Bayindir have endured.

Martinez, who has been at Villa since 2020, has been left out of the squad with summer signing Marco Bizot starting, while youngster Sam Proctor is on the bench.

Former United defender Victor Lindelof, whose contract with the club expired this summer, is set to join Villa.
