Martinez signs, Casemiro upgrade: Man Utd starting line up after deadline day if transfer rumours are true

With less than 24 hours to go in the transfer window, it is clear that Manchester United could do with some fresh additions after a tough start to the campaign.

The Red Devils have been limited in what they can spend this summer after missing out on European football but they have managed to get deals done for Matheus Cunha, Bryan Mbeumo and Benjamin Sesko. Those three new players have cost more than £200m.

However, after picking up a dramatic win over Burnley on Saturday - it is clear Ruben Amorim could use more players to bolster his ranks. United scored a 97th minute penalty to edge past the Clarets and pick up their first win of the campaign at the fourth attempt.

They have sold Alejandro Garnacho to Chelsea but still need to offload the likes of Jadon Sancho, Tyrell Malacia and Antony in a bid to raise further funds to help finance additional incomings. With those players not wanted at Old Trafford and with Amorim keen to add more to his side -it promises to be a busy deadline day on the red side of Manchester.

Here’s how the Red Devils could line up for the rest of the season if the transfer rumours are true...

Man United have reportedly agreed personal terms with the World Cup winner and approached Aston Villa to get a deal done. Martinez was completely left out of Villa's squad for their Premier League clash with Crystal Palace on Sunday evening.
