Liverpool are still to make their move to sign Newcastle United striker Alexander Isak.
Isak desperately wants to join Liverpool from Newcastle United and the Premier League champions could still return to the table.
The Reds saw their opening offer rejected almost a month ago now but Geordie Boot Boys understands that Liverpool could make a new bid for Isak.
With Newcastle signing Nick Woltemade, perhaps their stance over the wantaway Swede softens. They have previously confirmed they do not see Isak leaving, but that will only be put to the test if and when a second offer emerges.
Indeed, there have been suggestions that Newcastle would like to sell Isak at this stage.
Still, with so little time left in the window, it remains to be seen what happens.
After his side beat Arsenal on Sunday, Liverpool boss Arne Slot provided an update.

Asked about the latest on Liverpool’s pursuit of new signings before the deadline shuts on Monday, Slot admitted he would “probably” hear what is going to happen on Sunday night.
As per Lewis Steele of The Daily Mail, he said: “I will hear probably tonight if anything will happen.”
Steele adds that a fresh offer is still expected.
For his part, Isak is still confident about a move to Liverpool.

Newcastle United still chasing Alexander Isak’s replacement
Technically, Woltemade is the replacement for Callum Wilson.
Obviously, that could still change but that currently looks to be the situation.
Still, Newcastle want to sign another striker – which is perhaps an indication that they are open to selling Isak.
Newcastle still looking into a deal for Larsen. Wolves have been adamant he would not be allowed to leave. There has been little confidence a deal could be done for Wissa for weeks. What happens to Isak?
Going to be a dramatic end to window, or actually, it could be rather dull…
