Chelsea sit second in the Premier League heading into the international break, with seven points from their opening three games.
After a goalless draw against Crystal Palace on the opening weekend, Enzo Maresca’s side have since defeated both West Ham United and Fulham.
Only reigning champions Liverpool sit above the Blues after three matches, with Arne Slot’s side boasting a 100% win record so far.
This summer has been a busy one at Stamford Bridge with several new signings arriving and a number of players also departing the club.
Now, it appears that the West London giants are set to recall a player from a loan spell after less than a month.
According to Fabrizio Romano, Chelsea have reached an agreement with Premier League rivals Sunderland to recall Marc Guiu from his loan spell.
The Spanish striker joined the Black Cats earlier this month, on a loan deal that was supposed to last for the remainder of the current campaign.

The 19-year-old has only made two late substitute appearances in the Premier League so far this term, but he did score on his first start for Sunderland as they lost on penalties against Huddersfield Town in the Carabao Cup second round.
Guiu joined Chelsea from Spanish giants Barcelona last summer but was used sparingly by Maresca during his debut season in England.
In total the teenager scored six times in 16 games for the Blues across all competitions, but he only featured in three Premier League games.
Chelsea’s decision to recall the Spain youth international comes in the wake of an injury to Liam Delap, who was forced off in the opening stages of the Blues’ 2-0 win against Fulham on Saturday.
Fellow striker Nicolas Jackson has been heavily linked with a move away from Stamford Bridge, but it remains to be seen whether or not the Blues will keep hold of the Senegal international following Delap’s injury.
