Bournemouth defeated their hosts at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium after a dominating display, although they were only able to score once.
But they were resolute at the back and restricted Spurs to very few chances, and only one shot on target across the whole game.
Match report:
The victory at Spurs took the Cherries to seven games away in London unbeaten, and was their second win in the past four visits to Spurs, with one draw and one defeat.
Asked about their showing on Saturday, Tavernier said: “We have had a good two times in past seasons with results here.
“But I think everyone knows with the intensity we have and the players we have, we are always capable of these type of performances against these teams.

He continued: “I know there only been a small amount of games, but definitely our strongest performance of the season so far.
“We are disappointed we did not score more goals to help the defence but ultimately it was a strong performance from the first whistle to the last.”
But the defence didn’t need any extra goals as they were watertight, keeping the dangerous Spurs attack very quiet and seeing them only have five shots on goal all game.

“They've managed it so well and put in really strong performances over the few weeks we have been playing these games. So awesome credit goes to them today.”
Bournemouth now head into the international break in the top ten of the Premier League, and asked if the break came at a frustrating time after two wins on the bounce in the league, Tavernier said: “"It's probably disappointing but it's even more disappointing if you get beat.
“But to go into it with a win against a top side, everyone can be happy and rest up now to putting in them same performances when we come back.”
