Georgia center Giorgi Shermadini accepted that the opponents were just too strong and they can’t stop Giannis.
“They are a tough opponent. They play really amazing – all of them. Giannis is unstoppable and it’s not easy to guard him. We tried to triple team him, but what can you do. This is basketball. We lost but we still have a good chance to win the next two games and pass the group.”
Giannis Antetokounmpo, Greece can still improve
Greece is yet to face a tougher challenge in the tournament. The Greek Freak is yet to be contained and it shows in his efficient showing the two games he played.
Head coach Vassilis Spanoullis previously preached about better execution and such talk is being heeded. He warns thought that the best of his team is yet to be realized.
“I think we took another step forward today,” he told reporters after the game.

“We shared the ball with 28 assists and we could have had more. We are on the right path but we are just taking one game at a time. We have to improve during the tournament. We still have room to improve. We have things that I still want to improve.”
Next in the schedule for Bosnia and Herzegovina which currently hold a 1-2 record. They will wrap up the group stage on September 4 against defending champions Spain.
