'Here we go' - Fabrizio Romano: £180,000-a-week Man City star agrees deadline-busting exit

Manchester City have reached a verbal agreement to sell goalkeeper Ederson to Fenerbahce, GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano has revealed.

The Cityzens have reportedly agreed to a deal worth around €14m (£12m) for the £180,000-a-week Brazilian goalkeeper, with personal terms already in place for Ederson’s move to Turkey.

City are expected to sign Paris Saint-Germain goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma as Ederson’s replacement, with developments around the deal expected on deadline day.

Romano, writing on X, revealed that Ederson is closing in on a move to Fenerbahce, with a verbal agreement in place for his deadline day departure from Man City:

Ederson, who joined Man City in the summer of 2017 from Benfica, made 372 appearances for the club, keeping 168 clean sheets and conceding 311 goals.

The Brazilian goalkeeper was left on the bench by Pep Guardiola for City’s first three Premier League games of the season, with James Trafford starting in his place.

Ederson won every major title available during his time at the Etihad Stadium, including six Premier League titles and the Champions League in 2023.
