Fabrizio Romano: Sunderland working on late deal to sign 'lethal' Champions League striker…

Sunderland are working on a late deal to sign Ajax striker Brian Brobbey, with Marc Guiu expected to return to Chelsea, according to GIVEMESPORT senior correspondent Fabrizio Romano.

It's a tricky situation for Sunderland, with Guiu now likely to leave the club after only a few weeks at the Stadium of Light. Brobbey, described as 'lethal' by Breaking The Lines, could be an exciting replacement for Guiu if he is forced to return to Chelsea. Guiu only joined Sunderland earlier in the transfer window on loan for the season, but after Liam Delap suffered a hamstring injury, the Blues are in the market for a new centre-forward with just hours to go until the window closes.
