Liverpool have agreed a British record fee of £125million with a potential of an extra £5m in add-ons to sign Newcastle star Alexander Isak.
Isak, 25, has been linked with a move to the champions all summer, and with less than 24 hours on the clock, the Reds have made a breakthrough. Isak is now expected to undergo a medical on Monday, according to various outlets, before penning a six-year deal.
The Reds already had a £110million bid rejected in August, and had seemingly pulled out of the deal. However, Isak had been keen to force a deal over the line and put out a bombshell statement declaring he'd played his last game for Newcastle.
Isak said promises had been "broken" by Newcastle and that their "relationship can't continue".
Newcastle has held talks with Isak, but the Swede was only interested in leaving this summer.

Isak was led to believe he would be allowed to leave Newcastle if a big club came in for him and offered the right price.
Newcastle said that "no commitment has ever been made by a club official that Alex can leave Newcastle United this summer".
Liverpool have smashed the British record this summer, purchasing Florian Wirtz in a deal that could eclipse the £115m which Chelsea paid Brighton for Moises Caicedo in 2023.
The Magpies have already lined-up a potential replacement, with the £69m club record signing of Nick Woltemade from Bundesliga outfit Stuttgart.
