Rangers are set for a busy transfer deadline day, and Everton striker Youssef Chermiti is expected to be among the headline arrivals.
Cyriel Dessers is set to follow Hamza Igamane out of the door at Ibrox, and more attacking options will be needed to replace them.
Bojan Miovski joined from Girona in recent days, but another striker is needed on top, with Dessers coming off the bench in the Old Firm on Sunday.
Kevin Thelwell had set his sights on Chermiti, and the Rangers director now appears to have secured his key target in a hugely significant transfer.

Youssef Chermiti expected to join Rangers
A deal has now seemingly been agreed between Rangers and Everton for the transfer of young striker Chermiti, and the 21-year-old will now head to Glasgow.

The Scottish Daily Mail have reported that Chermiti is expected in Glasgow to complete a medical before the transfer deadline, and that a deal has been agreed for an initial £8 million fee, with £2m in add-ons.
Chermiti has failed to score in 24 games for Everton, although just one of these appearances was a Premier League start.
The Portugal under-21 International joined Everton from Sporting Club De Portugal in 2023.
It is also reported that Everton will have a “chunky” sell-on clause, and the finances of this deal overall mean that Chermiti’s signing is one of the biggest investments Rangers have ever made.

Youssef Chermiti in Rangers transfer records
Chermiti will become Rangers’ most expensive signing in 25 years, and will only be second to Tore Andre Flo, who moved to Ibrox for a record £12m fee in 2000.
Andre Flo arrived as a 27-year-old from Chelsea who had scored 50 goals in 163 games and had won several trophies with the Premier League giants.
The Norwegian did not justify his fee at Rangers, but 38 goals in 71 games was not the worst return from a striker.
Chermiti will arrive with a lot less pedigree and a lot more pressure to deliver, and if he does not succeed at Ibrox, many will point the finger at Thelwell, who brought the attacker to Everton in the first place.
