"Alexander Isak has permission to undergo his medical today and is travelling to Liverpool this morning. He will sign a six-year deal. Fee is £125m with no add-ons."
Isak, described as 'world-class' by former Newcastle striker Alan Shearer, hasn't featured for the Magpies this season with speculation ongoing surrounding his future. There's no doubt Newcastle were desperate to resolve the situation, with the ideal solution being for Isak to stay at the club, but it's not been that simple.
Unfortunately for the North East club, they haven't got their wish, and Liverpool are set to benefit. It's an incredibly expensive deal for the Reds, especially considering they've already broke the British transfer record in the summer window by bringing in Florian Wirtz from Bayer Leverkusen.
