Everton are set for a busy transfer deadline day, with multiple deals expected.

David Moyes is on the hunt for a midfielder at the Hill Dickinson Stadium before the window closes.

On top of this, a right-back could be heading to Everton, with Nathan Patterson set to move to Sevilla on loan.

However, on top of the Scotsman, more departures are expected in the coming hours as Moyes makes the final changes to his squad.

Youssef Chermiti closes in on £10m move to Rangers

Youssef Chermiti has not found success since his move to Everton in 2023.

MORE TOFFEES STORIES

The 21-year-old showed plenty of promise at Sporting CP, but has struggled to find his feet in Merseyside.

So far, the striker has played 25 matches for the Toffees, but has yet to find the back of the net in any of his appearances.

On top of this, Chermiti has struggled with injuries at Everton, which has no doubt limited his game time and form.

The striker has never scored a goal for the Toffees

Chermiti now looks set to move to Rangers in a deal that could be worth £10m

As a result, it no doubt came as a bit of a shock to the Hill Dickinson Stadium faithful that Rangers were looking to sign Chermiti in a deal that could be worth £10million on transfer deadline day.

If this deal goes through, Moyes deserves heavy praise from the Toffees.

There is no doubt that Chermiti has been a flop at Everton, with the 21-year-old not possessing the ability to play in the Premier League.

Therefore, the fact that the Toffees are only set to make a £4.5m loss for a striker that hasn’t scored a goal is no doubt a miracle.

Where did it go wrong for Youssef Chermiti at Everton?

With Everton struggling to score for the majority of his stay at Merseyside, the 21-year-old has no doubt been under plenty of pressure.

The longer the wait for a goal has gone on, the higher the pressure will have been on the striker.

A new start was undoubtedly needed for Chermiti, with the two parties a mismatch.

Hopefully, the striker can find his feet in Scotland and finally show signs of reaching his potential.
