Welcome to KUMB's deadline day special transfer rumour round-up - five stories from around the web featuring players potentially on West Ham's shopping list, or current Hammers on the radar of other clubs...

Nayef Aguerd / Emerson

A deal worth in the region of £20million has been cited as the rate which will see the two defenders trade east London for the lights of Monaco sometime today.

The Ligue 1 side are reported to be paying around £1million for the full back - which would've got you a Trevor Francis back in 1979 - and in the region of £19million for the Moroccan international, who has constantly sought a permanent move elsewhere upon returning from his loan spell in La Liga last season. Those figures may represent a little creative accounting on West Ham's part with Chelsea due a percentage of Emerson's sale price, but either way it appears both he and Aguerd are heading for warmer climes before the day is out.

Dominik Livakovic

The 30-year-old Croatian international has been cited as a potential deadline day arrival as Graham Potter continues to shuffle his goalkeeping options.

Having already waved goodbye to Lukasz Fabianski, who was replaced by Mads Hermansen, the Head Coach is keen to bring in further fresh blood in place of Alphonse Areola, who has made just one appearance - in the 3-2 defeat at Wolves in the Carabao Cup - so far this season. And Turkish media are running with a story claiming the Hammers have made an offer for the Fenerbahce stopper, who has been capped 66 times for his country. As with all reports from Turkey, take this one with a pinch of salt.

Charlie Cresswell

Although Emerson may have already been replaced, with Malick Diouf and Ollie Scarles providing sufficient cover for the left back slot, Aguerd's departure will almost certainly necessitate another arrival in order to boost the club's options in the centre of defence as we enter the final day of the transfer window.

And the most likely name circulating at present is that of England Under-21 centre-back Charlie Cresswell, currently of Toulouse, who would fit the profile of "young, upcoming" as befitting the current policy of Potter and Head of Recruitment Kyle Macauley. The Ligue 1 side are seeking around £13million (with clauses) for the 23-year-old central defender, who featured in Saturday's 6-3 defeat against PSG (so not quite Paul Hilton-esque).

Taylor Harwood-Bellis

Another member of the Southampton team relegated with one of the lowest points hauls in Premier League history, the defender is under consideration by Potter as an eleventh-hour option.

The 6'2" centre back has already represented England at senior level and is one of those players to feature at all youth levels from Under 16 to Under 21. A fee of around £20million could tempt the Saints into parting company with Harwood-Bellis, although manager Will Still is keen to keep him at St Mary's. "They want another one of our players?," retorted the Hammers fan when asked about the link at the weekend. "I don’t think Taylor was ever for sale, to be honest - and I love West Ham, but stay off him!"

Quinten Timber

...that said, West Ham do retain an interest in Feyenoord's 24-year-old midfielder.

Discussions between Timber's representatives and West Ham have taken place in recent weeks, and the five times-capped Dutch international could still be a possible arrival should the Hammers manage to offload Guido Rodriguez - who is still thought likely to confirm a return to Spain at some point today - and/or Andy Irving, even though his purported move to Wrexham is reported to have stalled over the weekend.

Fabio Vieira

West Ham are reported to be "one of two clubs" interested in rescuing the Portuguese midfielder from Arsenal, where he has failed to make much of an impact since arriving in north London three years ago.

An attacking midfielder previously of Porto, Vieira is likely to be well down the list of potential deadline day targets - although a season-long loan option may bring him closer to the top of the Potter/Macauley notepad. Stuttgart, of the Bundesliga are the other club said to maintain serious interest although other German clubs are understood to be monitoring his situation as the hours tick away.

Conor Gallagher

Almost certainly a little 'lazy linking' from the tabloids, but "West Ham have emerged" as a potential destination for the Atletico Madrid midfielder who has been constantly linked with a return to England from the moment hew first set foot on Spanish soil.

Manchester United and Crystal Palace have also been mentioned in dispatches as potential deadline day destinations for Gallagher, who has represented Atletico in all three of their La Liga games this season, suggesting he is not exactly considered surplus to requirements by Diego Simeone. And with West Ham having already secured the capture of Mateus Fernandes and Soungoutou, a third (expensive) signing would appear... unlikely, at best...

Lucas Paqueta

Did you see the goal celebration at the City Ground on Sunday? He's going nowhere*.

*As things stand...

And finally...

Don't be surprised to see a curveball thrown into the mix, for as we know David Sullivan is particularly fond of a deadline day loan deal. Perm any one of a series of players from Chelsea's bloated squad, for example, with the Hammers still seeking defensive reinforcements and additional attacking options with which to boost Potter's first team squad.
