Newcastle’s persistent interest in Jorgen Strand Larsen seems to have been staved off, but now another Premier League giant is reportedly interested.
It’s deadline day.
That means one way or another, the Jorgen Strand Larsen transfer saga comes to an end. The player wants a move to the Magpies, and Wolves are vehemently against it.
But Newcastle reportedly aren’t the only team to worry about today.
Chelsea are scrambling after Liam Delap picked up an injury in the weekend’s action.
Bayern Munich had already agreed a deal for Nicolas Jackson, but there is a chance Chelsea cancel it. Recalling Marc Guiu from loan is another viable option, but the Blues are apparently tempted by Wolves’ star striker.

As Si Phillips has revealed in the SPTC newsletter: “Chelsea have today reached out to the agents of Jorgen Strand Larsen of Wolves. Chelsea need to sell Nicolas Jackson first before any new striker, but sources say it is still possible.”
MORE WOLVES STORIES
Wolves will maintain a firm ‘no sale’ stance, and fans will be praying that there isn’t a change in that regard.
Wolves need to ignore advances for Jorgen Strand Larsen and get a midfielder in
There are only so many hours in the day for Wolves to conduct transfer business.
Chelsea’s interest needs to be nipped in the bud, and all focus turned to adding to a struggling Wolves side.
Middlesbrough look at Hayden Hackney the way Wolves look at Strand Larsen. They don’t want to budge.
The other targets, Nicolas Raskin and Josh Brownhill, are more likely options, and with any luck, one of them will be announced before the 7pm cutoff.
As for Strand Larsen and Chelsea, let’s just hope no insane bids come in from BlueCo that would make Jeff Shi go back on his word.
