SUNDERLAND have agreed a deadline-day deal with Ajax to sign Dutch forward Brian Brobbey.
Brobbey is heading to the Stadium of Light as part of an unexpected attacking overhaul after Sunderland agreed to Chelsea’s request to end Marc Guiu’s loan deal last night.
The [Black Cats](http://www.thenorthernecho.co.uk/sport/football/sunderland) are paying an initial fee of €20m for the 23-year-old, with a further €5m of add-ons also understood to be forming part of the deal.
Brobbey has been given permission to fly to the North-East, and is scheduled to have a medical later this morning, with Sunderland officials confident the transfer will be tied up well ahead of tonight’s 7pm deadline.
