Sky Sports: Man Utd target arrives in England ahead of deadline day move, awaits club decision

Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens has travelled to England ahead of a potential deadline day move to Manchester United, according to Sky Sports journalist Sacha Tavolieri.

The Old Trafford side are aiming to sign a new shot-stopper for Ruben Amorim in the final hours of the market and are eyeing Lammens as one of two main candidates to join.

United are also in talks over Aston Villa veteran Emiliano Martinez, with the 32-year-old Argentina international believed to be ahead of Lammens on the shortlist.

Tavolieri claims Lammens is now waiting on Old Trafford chiefs, who are still pursuing both deals, with a final decision still pending.

United were reported to have made an improved offer for Lammens on Sunday after receiving the green light from Royal Antwerp to complete the deal.

The Belgian side are believed to be open to Lammens’ departure for a fee in excess of £25m, following the 23-year-old’s breakout campaign in the Belgian Pro League.

Lammens became Antwerp’s first-choice goalkeeper last season, making 44 appearances across all competitions, conceding 56 goals and keeping 10 clean sheets.

The 23-year-old, who joined Royal Antwerp from Club Brugge in the summer of 2023, made four appearances in 2025/26, conceding in each game, before being omitted from the squad for the next two matches amid United’s interest.
