Wrexham close to landing Manchester City player on loan

Wrexham are poised to land the Premier League man in an eye-catching move. They have until the deadline at 7pm to complete the agreement.

Kabore, 24, has been on the books at Manchester City since 2020. However, he has never made a senior appearance for the Premier League giants.

In this latest update regarding his situation at the Etihad Stadium, reporter Jacobs has reported on X that he is set for a temporary switch to the Racecourse Ground. Phil Parkinson’s men won 2-0 away at Millwall over the weekend.

Parkinson has recently shared this transfer update, as per the Wrexham Insider: “There’s a few lads may be going, we’ve got to look at that, and we’ve had a few offers on the table which we’re close to getting agreed. If they happen, great, we are pleased because we will always feel there’s a few areas we can strengthen. But equally if it doesn’t, we’ll go with what we’ve got and we’ve got some good players to come back in that group.”

Wrexham poised to land Issa Kabore

Wrexham will see Kabore to boost their defensive department. He is someone who likes to get up and down the flanks of defence.

Manchester City signed him five years ago from KV Mechelen. The Burkino Faso international, who has 49 caps to his name, is no stranger to a loan move away from Pep Guardiola’s side.

He has had spells in the past at Troyes, Marseille, Luton Town and Benfica. He then spent the second half of the last campaign with Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga.

What now for Wrexham?

Signing Kabore would be another statement of intent by Wrexham if they can get it over the line. It has been a busy recruitment drive for the Welsh club.

They won promotion from League One to the Championship last term along with Birmingham City and Wrexham. They have since delved into the market to bring in the likes of Kieffer Moore, Lewis O’Brien and Callum Doyle to bolster their ranks, among others.

The Red Dragons will be in confident mood after their victory against Millwall. Moore and O’Brien got their goals at The Den.

They are back in action after the international break as they look to build some momentum now. Next up is a home clash against QPR.
