Newcastle United are working hard to bring in a new striker and TBR Football can reveal they have held talks over the likes oF Nicolas Jackson, Victor Boniface and Randal Kolo Muani heading into the final day of the window.
Newcastle have now agreed a British transfer record with Liverpool for Alexander Isak but despite signing Nick Woltemade – they want to give Eddie Howe at least one more option.
Newcastle always wanted two strikers having also lost Callum Wilson earlier in the summer, but deals for prime targets Yoane Wissa and Jorgen Strand Larsen are looking difficult.

TBR Football chief correspondent Graeme Bailey reports that Newcastle have been offered ‘nearly a dozen’ strikers as the summer transfer window closes, including Chelsea’s Nicolas Jackson.
Bailey says: “We can now confirm that Jackson – who saw a loan move to Bayern Munich called off at the weekend – is someone the club have talked about.

“Victor Boniface – who saw a move to Milan called off earlier in the window, is another they have been offered, while Newcastle have also been offered Randal Kolo Muani – as TBR Football revealed earlier on Monday.
“Sporting’s Conrad Harder has also been linked along with Alexander Sorloth and Artem Dovbyk. They held talks over Lois Openda too – but he is now heading to Juventus.”
Newcastle ‘inundated’ with offers for strikers to replace Alexander Isak
As Newcastle look to put the Alexander Isak saga behind them, and potentially spend some of the £130m transfer fee they will receive for the Swedish star, they have been given plenty of attacking options in the last few days.

Bailey adds: “There are options for Newcastle, I am told they have been inundated in the last 24 hours with potential options.
“Jackson is one they always liked but we have to see what Chelsea have to say – although they have recalled Marc Guiu from Sunderland after Liam Delap’s injury.
“Again, Kolo Muani and Boniface are players that Newcastle have looked at previously and they can’t be discounted. But at this point I am told nearly a dozen names have been looked at and considered.”
