Ennis, 20, has been on the books at Manchester United since 2020. Prior to his move to Old Trafford, he had a spell at Liverpool’s academy.
In this latest update regarding his situation, the Manchester Evening News claim he will link up with the Cod Army in the fourth tier. Plymouth Argyle have made an offer but the decision has been made for him to stay in the North West.
Earlier this summer, Fleetwood Town boss Pete Wild shared this recruitment update, as per their official club website: “We’re looking for good characters as well as good players. We want people who understand what it means to play for Fleetwood Town and who want to be part of something bigger.”

Fleetwood Town to sign Ethan Ennis from Manchester United
Ennis rose up through the ranks at Liverpool and was a regular at various different youth levels before heading out the exit door. He has been with Manchester United for the last five years.
The winger is yet to make a senior appearance for the Red Devils. However, he has been a key player for their Under-21s.

He was given the green light to head out the exit door in the last campaign when Doncaster Rovers came calling to get some experience under his belt. The Runcorn-born man played 10 games for the Yorkshire club under the guidance of Grant McCann as they secured promotion to League One.
What now for incoming Fleetwood Town new boy Ethan Ennis?
Ennis will be looking to get as much game time as possible with Fleetwood Town to boost his development. Manchester United will keep tabs on his progress.
As for Plymouth Argyle, they could have seen him as someone to add more competition and depth to their attacking department. He is more likely to start with the Cod Army though which is why they have edged out the Pilgrims in this particular transfer pursuit.
