Manchester United ‘resolve differences’ with agent for exit – Player travelling soon for medical

Throughout the summer window, Real Betis have tried to sign Manchester United’s Antony on a new loan deal. The Red Devils have refused this formula and were firm that they want to sell him.

The Spanish club were confident they can sign the winger on loan towards the end of the window, but that didn’t happen. Last week, they travelled to England to buy 50% of his rights for €25m.

On Friday, the Red Devils leaked to media that they had reached an agreement with Real Betis. The latter, however, [dismissed it and refused to cover](https://x.com/Sport_Witness/status/1961538800745677084) the €6m that Antony’s camp believed they are owed by Manchester United.

Earlier today, it was reported the Premier League club have agreed terms with Real Betis to sell Antony for €25m for 50% of his rights. [ABC Sevilla](https://www.abc.es/deportes/alfinaldelapalmera/fichajes-betis/betis-cierra-fichaje-antony-20250901094054-nts.html), a newspaper local to the Andalusian club, provide their take on this case.

Manuel Pellegrini’s side are paying €22m in fixed fee plus €3m as potential bonuses to Manchester United, who retain 50% of profit from his future sale.

It’s claimed the 25-year-old will travel to Seville in the coming hours to undergo medical tests and sign a long-term contract with Real Betis.

With regards to the €6m that Antony is owed by Manchester United, ABC Sevilla state: _‘The parties have resolved their differences regarding the €6m that United were supposed to pay the player with his agents so that everything could be formalised before the end of tonight’s transfer window._

_‘All parties have given in this amount of €6m to be able to end this negotiation, which has yet to be signed but that with this principle of agreement will be formalised in these hours.’_

What that means is unclear, but no party wants to admit they’re paying any of it or have given up on it. The compromise may be revealed in the coming weeks.
