Now viewed as their alternative to the Congolese striker, the Magpies appear primed to beat the clock to try and acquire the France international, who scored ten times and assisted three goals in 22 matches during a recent successful loan spell at Juventus.
Earning around £150,000 per week, Kolo Muani would be an expensive import. Still, his salary is well within PIF's financial capabilities and wouldn't present a major issue in the final hours of the window.
