Leeds United hit by Manor Solomon Deadline Day U-turn

Leeds United are working against time to bring in attacking reinforcements, and Manor Solomon is seen as one player they could sign late in the window. However, things are unravelling first for the Whites on transfer deadline day.

Daniel Farke has made it clear that surviving in the Premier League will become a much harder job than it already is if Leeds do not bring in the attacking reinforcements the squad need before the transfer window closes later this evening.

Leeds have had a few heartbreaks in the ongoing transfer window, but the last few days have been tough. Facundo Buonanotte chose to agree to join Chelsea despite the Whites having all the agreements in place to sign the 20-year-old Brighton attacking midfielder.

The Whites are still in with a chance to sign Sheffield United’s Gustavo Hamer. But Eduard Spertsyan has ruled out leaving Krasnodar on deadline day, and Bilal El Khannouss, another top target, is on the cusp of completing a move to Bundesliga outfit VfB Stuttgart in the coming hours.

Tottenham U-turn on selling Leeds United target Manor Solomon

Manor Solomon has been heavily linked with a return to Leeds after he helped the club win promotion to the Premier League last season when he was on loan at Elland Road.

Tottenham boss Thomas Frank decided earlier in the summer that the winger would not be part of his plans, and he has been expected to leave before the end of the window.

Solomon is seen as one player Leeds could eventually decide to sign later in the day if nothing else works out, but even that option is not available for the Whites.

According to iPaper, Tottenham have decided against letting Solomon leave on transfer deadline day.

Understand Manor Solomon is now set to stay put at Tottenham.

Frank has been impressed with what he has seen in training from the Israeli winger, and is now prepared to give him one more chance this season.

Spurs have done a complete U-turn, and the winger will not be leaving the north London club before the window closes later this evening.

Leeds are struggling on deadline day

Solomon was the backup option for Leeds all summer, and they could have moved for him late in the day. However, that option is no longer available.

The Yorkshire giants are continuing to assess their options, but there is now a real possibility that Leeds may not sign a player before the window closes later this evening.

Farke is keen to avoid that scenario, but Leeds are rapidly running out of time and transfer targets, with around eight hours left in the window.
