Man Utd would like to sign a goalkeeper on deadline day of the summer transfer window.
Ruben Amorim would like to add a goalkeeper to his squad before the 7pm deadline on Monday night and United are keeping their options open over who it might be. Although talks are ongoing with both Royal Antwerp and Aston Villa, United only expect to add one of the shot-stoppers to their first-team squad.
United have held an interest in both Lammens and Martinez all summer, with both goalkeepers keen on a move to Old Trafford today. United had a loan offer for Martinez rejected earlier in the transfer window before they turned their attention to Lammens as an alternative.

There are pros and cons to either deal, with Martinez an immediate improvement on their current options, who is likely to cost more due to his Premier League experience, while Lammens is viewed as a more affordable candidate but with greater long-term potential.
In a social media post on deadline day, Fabrizio Romano stated: "Man United are working on both Senne Lammens and Dibu Martínez deals. Only one will join #MUFC but Martínez depends on Sancho included in talks with Aston Villa. Meanwhile, Lammens deal remains on with 9 hours to go."
A day earlier, the notorious transfer reporter also claimed personal terms were already in place for the Argentine to move to Old Trafford. He wrote: "Emi Martínez has told Aston Villa that he wants to join Manchester United. Clear message again after the game as personal terms are agreed with #MUFC."
A report from The Athletic on deadline day also confirmed United had agreed personal terms with Lammens over his own possible move to Manchester. "Manchester United have agreed personal terms with Royal Antwerp goalkeeper Senne Lammens, but there is not yet a club-to-club agreement on a transfer," they claimed. "The 23-year-old would have to travel to Manchester this morning if the deal has a realistic chance of completion ahead of this evening's transfer deadline, with Aston Villa also monitoring his situation."
