West Ham are pushing to end the summer transfer window on a high.
West Ham have faced issues on and off the pitch this summer, with a poor transfer window being reflected on the pitch with heavy defeats to both Sunderland and Chelsea, heaping the pressure on Graham Potter.
However, after Sunday’s 3-0 victory at Nottingham Forest, West Ham are looking to finish the window strong, with a busy deadline day well underway.
Both Nayef Aguerd and Emerson Palmieri are completing moves to Marseille, while West Ham are looking to bring in Charlie Cresswell from Toulouse.
However, Cresswell is not the only centre-back the Hammers are looking at.

West Ham in for Braga’s Bright Arrey-Mbi
West Ham are exploring a deal to sign Bright Arrey-Mbi from Braga on deadline day.
Arrey-Mbi only joined Braga last summer from Hannover 96, but West Ham are looking to seal a loan deal for the German defender in the final hours of the window.
The centre-back is a product of Bayern Munich’s academy, and gained many plaudits during his development, notably from Bayern superstar Joshua Kimmich.
Arrey-Mbi only ever made a singular appearance for the German Champions, but Kimmich was impressed with the defender’s physicality.
Kimmich said: “Bright is already a beast. You can tell that he uses every muscle on his body. It surprised me in training that he’s not shy at all. He really goes into challenges and has a certain calmness on the ball.”

Arrey-Mbi needs to improve should West Ham deal go through
Aguerd’s departure is long overdue at West Ham, as the Moroccan international has been terrible ever since he set foot in East London.
However, Arrey-Mbi’s underlying stats aren’t that impressive compared to Aguerd’s from last season, with the Moroccan dominating in most categories.

Obviously, football isn’t played on paper, so the German could prove the stats wrong and be a major success in England, but he will need to improve quickly if West Ham wants to stay up.
