It’s concerningly quiet at Wolves with regards to potential incomings, and former Premier League striker Charlie Austin isn’t impressed.
Deadline day hasn’t disappointed around the Premier League, with massive moves being announced with each passing hour.
Unfortunately, Wolves aren’t at the forefront of the craziness, with no fresh updates yet on potential additions.
Tolu Arokodare has been confirmed, but Charlie Austin thinks this is too little, and approaching too late.

Charlie Austin gives his verdict on Wolves’ deadline day needs
Appearing on Sky Sports News at 10:50 am today, Austin was asked about Wolves’ business and what still needs to be done.
His answer won’t be pleasant reading for Wolves fans, as he says: “You’re worried about Wolves because the promoted sides that have come up have strengthened.
“They need a centre forward, another midfielder. They could almost do with a new spine, but it’s deadline day and that’s the position they find themselves in.”
The centre-forward signing is all but sealed; however, the rest is yet to be addressed.
A new spine won’t be possible in the coming hours, but hopefully, we can see at least one more player come through the door.
Charlie Austin’s ‘biggest worry’ about Wolves seems to be put to bed
While he’s not encouraged by Wolves’ buying activities, that isn’t his key issue at Molineux today.
He explains: “My biggest worry for them is ‘can they keep Jorgen Strand Larsen?'”
Newcastle have been eyeing a move for the Norwegian, but now a deal for Yoane Wissa has been announced.
Chelsea, the other interested party, have recalled Marc Guiu from his Sunderland loan, so they won’t be pursuing Strand Larsen.
Most Wolves fans would agree with Austin that this was the biggest concern for the club’s deadline day, but finally, the hunt for Strand Larsen appears to have reached its end.
