Report suggests the Alexander Isak move from Newcastle United was inevitable after key moment two weeks ago

Alexander Isak has been kicking up a fuss at Newcastle United for two months in a bid to force through a move to Premier League champions Liverpool.
In truth, the Sweden star has been acting up since last summer, but the Magpies got enough out of him last season to help them end their 56-year wait for a trophy.
Isak was livid at the start of last season after being told by Paul Mitchell that he wouldn't be getting a pay raise he felt he was promised - there's still no evidence of this promise by the way.
Then, after helping Newcastle lift the Carabao Cup by beating his beloved Liverpool, Isak practically went on strike, then if you look at his dire goal output after the final.

Eddie Howe had given up on Alexander Isak two weeks ago
During the summer, Isak went on strike properly and even released a very inflammatory statement, which pretty much marked the end of his Newcastle career.
While the messages coming out of the club were always that they'd resist Liverpool's advances and that Isak has been told he's going nowhere, the reality was that Newcastle were trying to facilitate a move by searching for replacements.
Even Eddie Howe was adamant, at least when speaking to the media, that Isak could be reintegrated into the squad if he stayed, but now The Chronicle has reported that the coaching staff decided around two weeks ago that Isak had gone too far and that reintegrating him would be practically impossible.
Bruno Guimaraes clearly wasn't amused by Alexander Isak's behaviour
Bruno Guimaraes' Instagram post immediately following Isak's statement last week really underlined the rift in the squad.
The Newcastle captain is devoted to the club, and he clearly has no time for colleagues who aren't. We can't imagine that he'd have welcomed Isak back with open arms.
It's absolutely abhorrent the way he's gone about it, and it doesn't matter how bitter and angry we are at the outcome, but there's no getting away from the fact that Newcastle are now losing a world-class player.
However, we'd rather have a squad of great players working together than having that world-class star who isn't trying. Good riddance and thanks for the Carabao Cup.
