Ipswich Town have agreed a loan deal with Manchester City for one of their strikers.
The hierarchy at the Premier League giants are working hard behind the scenes to put the final touches on Pep Guardiola’s squad before the summer transfer window shuts, with Gianluigi Donnarumma already brought through the door at the Etihad Stadium.
The main focus on Monday is outgoings, with Ederson ready to sign for Fenerbahce, while Manuel Akanji’s Man City future remains up in the air.
There is also business that needs to be finalised regarding the Manchester club’s academy, with one striker close to joining Ipswich Town on loan.

Ipswich Town agree a loan deal for Luca Fletcher
Ipswich Town have agreed a loan deal with an obligation to buy for Luca Fletcher from Man City, as the 18-year-old looks to start a new chapter in his young career, reports Fabrizio Romano.
The deal includes a buy-back and sell-on clause once the striker joins the Championship permanently in a year, which is usual Man City procedure, as they look to keep some control over their academy graduate.
Fletcher has been with City since 2023 after joining the Premier League club’s youth set-up from Reading, before signing his first professional contract last year.
The forward won the FA Youth Cup with City in 2024 and during his time at the academy featured 46 times, scoring 14 goals and assisting a further six.
No option or obligation to buy in Issa Kabore deal
Issa Kabore will join Wrexham for the 2025/26 season from Man City after the Welsh club fought off Southampton and several other clubs for the right-back, reports Jordan Campbell.
The loan deal will be a straight loan with no option or obligation to buy, as the 24-year-old could still have a future at the Manchester club, depending on how his spell with Wrexham plays out.
Having already experienced loan spells at Werder Bremen, Benfica, and Luton Town, this will very likely be Kabore’s last chance to impress before being sold permanently.
