Germany made a statement in Group B at EuroBasket 2025, dominating Great Britain 120-57 and recording the largest margin of victory in the tournament since 2001.
The 63-point margin marks the biggest win in EuroBasket history in the 21st century, surpassing all previous team victories since 1969, when Yugoslavia defeated Sweden 115-43.
This is the first time that a team doubled the points of another team in a EuroBasket game since 1971 (Soviet Union v Spain, 118-58).

Tristan da Silva led with 25 points and 5 rebounds, Franz Wagner added 18 points and dished 10 assists, and Dennis Schroder recorded 19 points with 5 assists as Germany pulled away early and never looked back.
The 120 points also set the mark for the most points scored by a team in a EuroBasket game since 1995.
For Great Britain, Myles Hesson and Patrick Whelan both recorded 11 points each, Jubrile Belo added 9.
With the win, Germany remains undefeated in group B, while Great Britain faces a tough task to bounce back in the last group-stage game.
