Everton are now into the very final stages of this summer’s transfer window.
Ahead of deadline day, Everton had made eight signings for the summer, with the expectation for some late movement.
David Moyes has demanded up to 10 new signings before the window shuts, and that could still happen before the 7pm deadline.
It is now getting to the stage where the Toffees are going to be up against the clock to get a late deal over the line.
Everton News has reported that Everton would like to sign a full-back alongside the expected addition of Merlin Rohl.
With just hours remaining in the window, that search for another defender may have just taken a late twist with developments elsewhere.

Everton target Hector Fort’s RCD Mallorca move collapses
Everton have shown a strong interest in Hector Fort, with his future at Barcelona hanging by a thread in these final days.
At the start of the morning of deadline day, Fort was waiting for the green light to join RCD Mallorca on a season-long loan deal.
According to Sport, that proposed move from Barcelona to Mallorca has now collapsed for Fort.
Mallorca have been unable to move on their own defender to make a move for the 19-year-old Barcelona full-back.
It is now believed that Fort’s agents are working against the clock to find the player a move in the eleventh hour.
Nathan Patterson’s Everton exit has also been postponed, with Sevilla suffering the same issue of offloading their own player first.
Very late developments could be emerging behind the scenes in these final hours.
Everton want to bring in a right-back before the deadline
Everton are keen to sign another right-back before the window shuts at 7pm on Merseyside.
It has been a position needing to be added to all summer, but the Toffees have been unable to find the right option.
It had been suggested that Everton were struggling to find any late opportunities in the market. Now, they may have been handed the perfect deal to push for.
This could make for a really exciting end to deadline day if Everton were able to land Fort from Barcelona.
There has been no suggestion yet that Everton will make a move, but it would be expected that Angus Kinnear will be aware of the situation.
