According to The Athletic, Real Madrid youngster Manuel Angel is expected to stay put at the club on the transfer deadline day, despite interest from La Liga club Levante.
The 21-year-old midfielder is considered one of the great prospects of La Fabrica and is one of the leaders of Alvaro Arbeloa’s Castilla squad this season.
A player of immense quality, he is capable of fulfilling different roles in midfield, and has already trained with the first team under Xabi Alonso.
Levante, back in La Liga this season, have shown a late interest in a move for Manuel Angel, as a potential replacement for Carlos Alvarez, who is being courted by SL Benfica.
However, as per the aforementioned report, sources at Valdebebas do not expect the young midfielder to leave Real Madrid on the deadline day.

Indeed, only a ‘crazy and unexpected offer’ would change the situation as far as Manuel Angel and his continuity at Real Madrid is concerned.
It must be noted that Alonso had plans to integrate the 21-year-old into a more regular role in the first team during pre-season.
However, a muscle injury poured cold water over that idea, with Thiago Pitarch getting the tap instead.
But, Manuel Angel remains a player who is held in the highest regard at Real Madrid, going back to the time when Carlo Ancelotti was still in charge.
As such, it will not come as a surprise to see the youngster get an opportunity or two with the senior team over the course of the season.
