Leeds United fans are waiting with bated breath to hear if the club have managed to do a deadline-day deal for Harry Wilson, or if The Whites have ran out of time in their pursuit of the Fulham star.
After early links on deadline day with a possible return with Manor Solomon and then a reunion between Emi Buendia and Daniel Farke, it appears Leeds’ target for the final day of the window was Harry Wilson.
LeedsUnited.News broke the news that Leeds were in talks to sign Wilson prior to Graham Smyth’s post on X. An initial loan bid was rejected, before talks were underway to strike a permanent deal to sign him.
It was reported by Joe Donnohue that Fulham would only sell Wilson if they brought in attackers. Fabrizio Romano has confirmed deals for Kevin and Samuel Chukwueze have gone through, medicals completed.

Leeds United set to fall at the final hurdle in race for Harry Wilson
But, all of it may have just come to no avail. According to The Independent’s Miguel Delaney, Leeds are now facing real difficulty in their bid to beat the deadline and sign another of Craig Bellamy’s Wales stars.
Whether it was Fulham choosing to keep him, difficulty over agreeing a fee or simply running out of time, it remains unclear. But, Delaney reports that a deal for Wilson is now in danger of collapsing late on.
Delaney posted on X: “The Leeds United deal for Harry Wilson is now in real difficulty. Currently looks like staying at Fulham, bar a drastic change. Another that’s gone back and forth all day.”
Leeds have got 10 players through the door this summer and there is no doubt that The Whites are stronger for it, despite losing Junior Firpo, Joe Rothwell, Manor Solomon and the iconic Patrick Bamford.
However, Leeds have only managed to sign three attackers. Often, Leeds have been thwarted by other clubs. Facundo Buonanotte, Igor Paixao, Bilal El Khannouss and more chose other clubs over Leeds.
Daniel Farke made it clear he wanted more attacking options after the 0-0 draw with Newcastle, and the German manager has not got his wish. It has to go down as a dismal end to a poor window for Leeds.
