West Ham have seen a deal for Igor Julio go beyond the transfer deadline.
Julio emerged as a target for West Ham on deadline day after the Hammers parted ways with Nayef Aguerd to Marseille late on.
This saw Crystal Palace emerge as favourites to sign Igor before the Brazilian opted against a Selhurst Park himself in favour of a London Stadium switch.
Ultimately, Julio and West Ham have scuppered Palace’s search for a Marc Guehi replacement, meaning that Liverpool will miss out on the England international.
With that being said, a deal for the Brazilian is yet to be completed with fans awaiting confirmation of the deal after the 7pm deadline passed on 1 September.

West Ham await Igor Julio transfer confirmation
There is no getting away from the need for defensive reinforcements in East London moving deeper into the campaign, especially if a five-back approach is continued.
This is where the signing of Julio at West Ham from Brighton makes sense, although the last-gasp nature may represent a concern for some.
Given that the deal is yet to be officially announced, there is likely to be worry on the terraces at the London Stadium, especially after losing Aguerd.
The latest report from Sky Sports News on 1 September can put fans’ minds at ease with a deal sheet submitted by the Hammers for Igor.
This can see a move be done until 9pm, with the Irons hopeful of completing a loan deal to bring in the former Fiorentina man moving forward.

Igor Julio deal must be done by 9pm
With a deal sheet done, Potter and Co. have afforded themselves two additional hours to make sure the defender is wearing claret and blue this summer.
It would prove to be rather disastrous not to complete the temporary deal, having worked on it throughout all of deadline day.
With that being said, to have submitted a deal sheet on time is a sign of intent to make sure Julio becomes a West Ham player.
It will certainly be interesting to see if a deal gets over the line in time, especially after the Brazilian turned down a move to Palace.
