Transfer deadline day was an unusually busy one for Manchester City, with big players heading in both directions before the transfer window closed.
It was a fitting end to a window in which Manchester City have been more active than usual, with Pep Guardiola looking to overhaul his squad after last season’s disappointing campaign.
The work has yet to bear fruit, with City losing two of their three opening fixtures, but talented players have been signed.
Tijjani Reijnders, Rayan Cherki and Rayan Ait Nouri were all recruited before the Club World Cup and they have since been joined by the returning James Trafford.
It’s also been a summer of change with key City stars like Kevin De Bruyne, Kyle Walker and Jack Grealish all leaving for pastures new.
After some last-minute business on Monday, Guardiola now knows what his squad will look like until at least January.
