Winger Maxwel Cornet has completed a return to Genoa, where he spent the second half of last season on loan.
As per KUMB's earlier report, The 28-year-old wide man will spend the 2025/26 campaign at the Stadio Luigi Ferraris after the two clubs agreed a season-long loan deal which includes an option to make the arrangement permanent at the end of the season.
The news was confirmed by the Serie A side late on Monday evening, several hours after the summer transfer windows had closed at 7pm.
"Genoa CFC announces that it has formalised with West Ham the acquisition on a temporary basis, with an option to buy, of the sporting rights of striker Maxwell Cornet," read a statement on the club's website.
Contracted to West Ham until 2027, The former Burnley winger - who previously spent half-a-season on loan with Southampton - has made just 21 appearances for West Ham since making a £17.5million move from Burnley in the summer of 2022.
He made seven appearances for Genoa during the final half of the 2024/25 campaign, scoring two goals, during his initial loan spell.
