**Chelsea have announced the arrival of Facundo Buonanotte, who joins on loan from Brighton and Hove Albion for a £2m loan fee.**

'I’m very happy to join Chelsea,’ said Buonanotte. 'It’s a great opportunity for me and I’m just looking to add as much to the squad as possible, help the team and help the staff.’

Arriving from Rosario Central in 2023, he has made 50 appearances for the Seagulls, providing 7 G/A. Buonanotte spent last season on loan at a fellow blue Premier League side, Leicester City, where he managed 9 G/A in 25 appearances. Since moving to the English top flight, has been capped twice by Argentina.

The 20 year old added: ‘It’s a great step in my career, I’m really happy to be here and ready to offer as much as I can to the team and the staff. I’m sure it will be a positive season.

‘Of course, I’ll get the opportunity to play in the Champions League for the first time, which will be a great challenge. I’m really looking forward to this season and hopefully I can help the club to achieve its goals.’

‘I’ve been in the UK for three years now, so I’m really happy. I like English football, I’m very happy to be here, I’m really settled and ready for this next challenge.’
