**AFC Bournemouth have announced the arrival of Veljko Milosavljevic from Red Star Belgrade for £13m. The 18 year old centre back has signed a five year deal with the Cherries, keeping him down south until 2030.**

“I am very happy to be part of the Bournemouth family. I can’t wait to meet the teammates, staff and fans of the club,” said the young defender.

Milosavljevic was part of the Red Star side that won the Serbian Superliga last season, making ten appearances. He has also appeared in the Champions League playoffs at the start of the current campaign.

Capped by Serbia at U16 - U21 level, Milosavjlevic made his way through the Red Star academy before this switch to the Premier League.

Bournemouth’s club president, Tiago Pinto, shared his thoughts on the signing, saying “I’m pleased that we have been able to add to our squad with the arrival of Veljko. The club is a great place for him to be and his game will develop further under the coaching and guidance of Andoni.

“He is a young talent, who has experience at a high level, and he will continue to progress by training on a daily basis alongside the experienced centre- backs we have at the club in Marcos Senesi, Bafodé Diakité and James Hill.”

Bournemouth’s new signing added: “It was always my dream to play in the Premier League as it is the best league in the world.

“I can’t wait to start working with Andoni Iraola as I’ve seen the progress that young players can make working with him.”
