ANDONI Iraola has been satisfied with the [Cherries](http://www.bournemouthecho.co.uk/sport/cherries/clubnews/)’ performances in their first three league games so far this season, after winning two and losing one of their opening matches.
Bournemouth started the season with a 4-2 defeat at the hands of Liverpool, but hit back with 1-0 wins at home against Wolves and away to Spurs.
All three performances have been impressive – the Cherries bouncing back from 2-0 down at Anfield to level the game before losing late on, and dominating the other two games.
The showing at Spurs was particularly strong, restricting their hosts to no shots on goal in the first half, and only five and one on target in the second.
While the Cherries should have extended their lead in both of their wins, they were comfortable and saw out the games to claim six points from their first three.
The only blot on their copybook so far this season was a poor defeat to Brentford in the League Cup as Iraola admitted making too many changes from the side that beat Wolves.
Reflecting on the start to the campaign, which sees them sit seventh in the Premier League after three games, Iraola told the Daily Echo he felt they had made a good start.
“I think the three Premier League games I think we've really had very good performances,” Iraola said.
“I would say even the first game that we lost in Anfield, I think I saw our team, I saw our strengths.
“Probably the bad note there of the Carabao Cup. But overall, I think it's a good start of the season for us.
“Knowing that we still have a lot of work to do, we have a lot of new players and we have work to do with them and with the others.”
