West Ham have been handed a surprise boost with news that one of our Academy stars has decided to stay and fight for his place.
Hammers insider ExWHUEmployee revealed late last night that George Earthy has chosen to remain at the London Stadium in an effort to force his way into Graham Potter’s plans.
This comes after fellow Academy graduate Lewis Orford opted to leave, joining League One side Stevenage. Claret & Hugh understands Orford had offers from several Championship clubs but decided high-flying Stevenage was the best place to continue his development.

Ex reported that there had been interest in Earthy, but it’s presumed the attacking midfielder has received encouragement from Potter about his future prospects. So far, the West Ham boss has shown little inclination to use the club’s youngsters, but there is hope that will change with Earthy, Ollie Scarles, Freddie Potts and Callum Marshall all still at the club.
