Leeds United’s summer transfer deadline day of 2025 will be remembered for all the wrong reasons.
Not a single new addition was brought in to Daniel Farke’s squad, with the fanbase’s trust in the 49ers currently being at an all-time low.
Leeds’ last-ditch attempt to sign Emi Buendia ultimately failed as the Whites were left scratching their head and were forced to evaluate other targets.
Leeds then turned their attention towards Fulham’s Harry Wilson, but the Whites were unable to get a deal over the line in a deadline day that will be remembered as another utter shambles.

Leeds United yet to announce Darko Gyabi exit on social media
One of the few pieces of business involving Leeds was Gyabi’s permanent move to Hull City as the young midfielder left Elland Road.
MORE LEEDS STORIES
Hull have since announced the move on the move on their social media, but on Leeds’ social media platforms… radio silence.
Undoubtedly, this is due to the backlash they know they will receive from supporters and deservedly so after failing to address clear weaknesses within Farke’s squad.
However, the fact that the club look like they are hiding will only exacerbate the current mood within the fanbase towards the 49ers and Paraag Marathe.
For supporters, at this point, they just have to laugh or they’ll cry as United’s last post on their official X account was Ilia Gruev’s heatmap from Leeds’ 0-0 draw with Newcastle at Elland Road.
Leeds’ relegation all but confirmed after lack of deadline day spending
Whilst the infamous Gruev heatmap post will be one remembered for all the wrong reasons, Leeds supporters are aware of the dire situation they are now in.
Farke’s men have only scored one goal from their opening three Premier League matches, and even that was a penalty.
The Whites have been toothless in attack so far, and this has still not been adequately addressed in the market; the blame falls entirely at the feet of the 49ers.
Certain Leeds fans have their reservations with Farke as a manager and rightly so, but the German has again been set up to fail in the top flight.
