Former Manchester United winger Antony has now made his feelings known after the Brazilian star finally completed his long-awaited summer transfer to Real Betis.
The 25-year-old Brazil international was able to revive his career away from Old Trafford during the 2025-26 campaign after his stunning loan move to Real Betis.
Antony was loaned to Betis for the second half of last season and the former Manchester United attacker impressed during his loan spell at the La Liga club.
The former Ajax ace returned to Old Trafford in June after his loan deal expired and Antony had been waiting on the sidelines to complete a permanent move to Betis.
Antony was deemed surplus to requirements at United under Ruben Amorim and the Brazilian winger had not been involved in the Red Devils’ pre-season summer tour.
The former United exile had been linked with several clubs this summer amid Betis’ transfer interest, including Bayer Leverkusen, Atletico Madrid and Fenerbahce.

Antony now speaks out after Real Betis complete their stunning transfer swoop for the former Ajax and Man Utd ace
Antony sealed his return to Real Betis on deadline day on Monday and the former Sao Paulo player will once again link up with manager Manuel Pellegrini.
According to Real Betis’ official website, the former Manchester United player has agreed a contract that will keep him at the La Liga outfit until 2030.
Betis agreed to pay United a transfer fee of £21.65m to make the move permanent for Antony, who netted nine times for the Spanish side during his loan spell.
Antony took to Instagram on Monday and shared a spine-tingling video about his time at Betis and sent out a powerful message to his followers as well.
“There’s only one Antony de Triana!” Antony wrote for the caption, adding two heart emojis.
In a separate post, the former United star shared a spoof poster of Robert Zemeckis’ cult classic movie Back to the Future to mark his sensational return to Betis.
“Back to home,” he wrote, adding a heart emoji.
“My people my world. Much Betis, always!”

The specific transfer details behind Real Betis’ summer swoop deal for Antony from Man Utd
According to BBC Sport, United’s sale of Antony to Betis was broken down into separate payments and the £21.65m fee is the combined transfer package.
It has been claimed that the La Liga club paid the Red Devils an initial fee of £19.06m (€22m) and agreed to add-ons worth £2.59m (€3m) for Antony.
BBC Sport reports that United have ensured there is ‘zero pay-off’ to Antony over his early exit, while a hefty 50 per cent sell-on clause is included in the Betis transfer.
Antony featured 26 times during his loan spell for Betis in the 2024-25 campaign and the Brazil international picked up five assists during his loan run at the Villamarin.
