According to a report from Nixon, Crystal Palace are ready to reward Henderson with a pay rise and a new contract, despite him having three years remaining on his current deal. The Eagles want to reflect his impressive form with Palace, with the England international helping them win the FA Cup, Community Shield against Liverpool, and qualify for Europe.
Henderson could be tied down for the rest of his senior career if Palace extend his current contract, but it remains to be seen whether he would be willing to put pen to paper. It would be a smart move for Palace to signal their intent by offering Henderson a new contract, showing a hands-off stance if any suitors decide to make a play to secure his signature.
Whether Palace could also convince Guehi to stay at the club after his failed move to Liverpool remains to be seen, but he appeared set on making a switch to Anfield in the summer window.
