Manchester United endured a busy transfer deadline day with four deals confirmed following a largely successful summer window. Senne Lammens was the only addition in the final 12 hours of the trading period with the goalkeeper joining Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha and Diego Leon as new arrivals.
Numerous exits from Old Trafford have also gone through with Alejandro Garnacho signing for Chelsea on a permanent deal and Marcus Rashford joining Barcelona on a season-long loan.
Deadline day did not really kick off for United until the early evening when moves for Antony and Rasmus Hojlund to Real Betis and Napoli, respectively, were announced.
United then made their fifth summer signing official with Lammens joining from Royal Antwerp in an £18.2million deal.
Aston Villa's Emiliano Martinez was also heavily considered by United to strengthen in between the sticks with the World Cup winner even left out of Unai Emery's squad to face Crystal Palace on Sunday evening.
Though United opted for the younger shot-stopper, a deadline day deal was still completed with Villa as Jadon Sancho, following in the footsteps of Rashford, moved to the Midlands club on loan.
Kobbie Mainoo and Tyrell Malacia were heavily linked with late summer window exits but as things stand, will stay at United. The latter saw a temporary switch to Elche collapse but could still be moved on with the trading periods in Turkiye and Saudi Arabia still open.
The three players to leave United had already been omitted from Amorim's matchday squads and therefore it is highly unlikely there will be drastic changes to the travelling group he names for the trip to Manchester City following the September international break.
Following a mixed start to the 2025/26 season, it remains to be seen what Amorim believes his strongest starting XI actually is.
However, it is seemingly very clear which 25 players will be named as the players eligible to feature for United in Premier League action.
New 25-man Manchester United squad:
Goalkeepers - Senne Lammens, Andre Onana, Altay Bayindir.
Defenders - Diogo Dalot, Noussair Mazraoui, Patrick Dorgu, Luke Shaw, Harry Magurie, Matthijs de Ligt, Leny Yoro, Ayden Heaven, Lisandro Martinez, Diego Leon, Tyler Fredricson.
Midfielders - Amad, Bruno Fernandes, Casemiro, Kobbie Mainoo, Manuel Ugarte, Mason Mount.
Attackers - Bryan Mbeumo, Matheus Cunha, Benjamin Sesko, Joshua Zirkzee, Chido Obi.
