Jadon Sancho will spend the next nine months at Aston Villa after agreeing to join the club on a season-long loan from Manchester United. And the winger made his feelings clear with his first Instagram post as a Villa player.
Sancho has endured a difficult time as a Red Devils player after moving to Old Trafford from Borussia Dortmund in a £73million deal four years ago. The 25-year-old was a regular under Ole Gunnar Solskjaer but had a public falling out with Erik ten Hag and was later shipped off back to Dortmund in a temporary move. The player then spent last season on loan at Chelsea, with the Blues ultimately paying United a fee to avoid signing him permanently. And he had been part of Ruben Amorim’s 'bomb squad' after returning to Old Trafford, with Sancho forced to train away from most of his team-mates.
Villa announced Sancho’s arrival in the west Midlands on Monday evening after the summer transfer window slammed shut at 7pm.
And the England international shared his new club’s transfer announcement on Instagram as he accompanied the post with the caption: “Let’s get to work.”
He included a bicep emoji as he signalled his hunger to get his career at Villa Park underway.

Villa posted a gallery of Sancho wearing different Villa shirts on their website and social media pages and also included video footage of the player sporting club colours.
And they even offered an insight into Sancho’s first day with his new employers after announcing his arrival.
“Photos and a maiden interview with VillaTV were also on the agenda as the England international got acquainted with his new surroundings,” they stated on their website.
Sancho will be forced to wait nearly two weeks to make his Villa debut, with his new side due to travel to Everton in the Premier League on Saturday, September 13.
Unai Emery’s team will then face a trip to Brentford in the Carabao Cup four days later before being tested in another Premier League away encounter at Sunderland.
The seven-time English champions are also due to begin their Europa League campaign this month, with Bologna visiting Villa Park on Thursday, September 25.
Emery has won the Europa League four times as a manager, with the Villans entering the competition as the favourites despite their underwhelming start to the season.
Villa picked up just one point in their opening three league matches ahead of the international break, with a 0-0 draw against Newcastle being followed by a 1-0 defeat against Brentford and a 3-0 reverse at the hands of Crystal Palace.
