Last week, Gazzetta dello Sport reported that Juventus were interested in a late move for Manchester United’s Noussair Mazraoui.
The Old Lady were looking to add a right-back to their squad after losing Nicolo Savona to Nottingham Forest.
The newspaper noted that the Bianconeri were offered a chance to sign the Red Devils player, amidst their struggles in a move for Atletico Madrid’s Nahuel Molina.
Today’s TuttoSport adds more and reveals Juve’s desperate attempt to sign a right-back on deadline day.
They report that Igor Tudor didn’t just fail in a move for Marseille’s Jonathan Clauss as a transfer for Manchester United’s Mazraoui was attempted but also failed.
The newspaper believe that the move can become a talking point in January, as Juve will be keen on improving the right side of their backline at that point too.
Mazraoui returned to action for Manchester United at the weekend in the 3-2 win over Burnley. Even if he played only five minutes, the Morocco international is expected to be a regular for Ruben Amorim’s side when fit.
This makes it difficult to see why he would leave Old Trafford, having joined in summer 2024.
