Manchester United made a big change to their attacking department this summer and Rasmus Hojlund was pushed to the side.
The Red Devils only scored 44 Premier League goals last season on their way to finishing 15th in the table, so it was no surprise to see Ineos invest in new attackers.
From Manchester United’s five major signings this summer, three were brought in to add firepower to Ruben Amorim’s squad, including the £66m deal to sign Benjamin Sesko.
Sesko has shown glimpses of promise at United but is yet to etch his name on the scoresheet. He has been slowly integrated into the team, with his only start so far coming against Grimsby Town.
As a result of his arrival, Rasmus Hojlund has joined Napoli on loan after being pushed down Amorim’s pecking order.

Rasmus Hojlund’s thoughts on Benjamin Sesko
As the Sesko saga accelerated, it was made clear that Hojlund wanted to stay and fight for a spot in Amorim’s side.
Hojlund was starved of service last season, but even so his 10 goals in 52 appearances was a disappointing output and clearly Amorim felt he was excess to requirements.
But according to The Athletic, part of Hojlund’s motivation to stay in Manchester was that he considers himself better than Sesko.

Hojlund felt he could prove himself better than the Slovenian in training sessions to make Amorim question his transfer plans.
Ultimately, Hojlund’s plan didn’t work out, and if Napoli qualify for the Champions League this year, then he is set to join the Serie A side until 2031.
Rasmus Hojlund will want to prove his point at Napoli
If Hojlund is confident he is better than Sesko, he will want to prove that during his time out in Italy.
With Romelu Lukaku injured, he is likely to start matches under Antonio Conte, and unlike United, Napoli are in a position to challenge for the league title.
Hojlund can follow in Scott McTominay’s footsteps by making United regret their sale within 12 months of his exit.

McTominay is now a Ballon d’Or nominee after leaving United and becoming the Serie A MVP in his debut season.
Hojlund will link up with McTominay and former Manchester City star Kevin De Bruyne in Naples, and he will have a fire in his belly to prove his critics in Manchester wrong.
