'Here we go': Fabrizio Romano says 'world-class' Man City player is set to join another club

While Gianluigi Donnarumma’s move to the Etihad Stadium is set to dominate the headlines, Manchester City have also managed to offload several players.

Ederson has joined Fenerbahce while Manuel Akanji’s loan move to Inter Milan has also been confirmed.

This summer, Pep Guardiola has lost five players from his famous treble-winning squad; Ederson, Akanji, Jack Grealish, Kevin De Bruyne and Kyle Walker.

Galatasaray could sign Ilkay Gundogan as well, who captained the Sky Blues to their treble triumph in 2023.

Ilkay Gundogan is set to join Galatasaray

While all the five players who have either left permanently or on loan appear to have done all they can in City shirts, Ilkay Gundogan may be disappointed about his return to the Etihad Stadium.

Sam Allardyce dubbed Gundogan as “world-class” when he returned to Manchester City but he has failed to justify such a title, unlike during his first stint in England.

As a result, Fabrizio Romano wrote “here we go” to signify Gundogan’s imminent move to Galatasaray.
